Students you can come by the School Counseling Office to pick up copies of the applications we have in the office and/or talk to your counselor about what opportunities are the best choice for you.

​Ned McWhorter Scholarship Program.  Minimum 29 ACT/3.5 GPA required.  Apply at www.tn.gov/TSACStudentPortal  (the same place where you registered for the TN Promise.)  Deadline to register is February 15, 2018. 
Nashville Sounds Foundation Scholarship - Complete application for $2500 scholarship here at www.nashvillesounds.com.  
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Scholarship for students with high scholastic achievement as well as accomplishments in community, high school, and church activities. Application here .  Must be postmarked by February 19, 2018.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Scholarship for African American Female Senior, application in School Counseling Office.. Application must be received by Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at the Chapter office in Nashville.  
National Society DAR Scholarships:  Scholarships for majors in several categories - Political Science/History/Governemnt/Economics, Nursing, Medical, Music, Law,Education, Horitculture, and general.  Application and information found  here.  Deadline for scholarship to be received by organization is Feb. 15, 2018.  
Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation  - minimum 3.0 GPA, must enroll in a TN college, university or trade school (includes Murray and WKU).  Application in School Counseling Office.   Must have CEMC electric service.  Deadline Feb. 22, 2018.
Kyle William Kiihnl Memorial Scholarship:  $1000 Deadline to be received Feb. 23, 2018.  Application and Information at www.dontdrivedrowsy.org  
Nashville Central High School Alumni Association Scholarship for natural or adopted descendants of Nashville Central High School.  Deadline 2/24/18.  Application in School Counseling Office.  
​William Henry Oliver Scholarship for descendants of East Nashville High School graduates. Application at this link:  www.eastnashvillehigh.com. Must be postmarked by February 28,2018.
Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest. No GPA or ACT requirement.  Essay 500 words or less describing how you have been inspired ad motivated by an African American individual.

Beech Lodge Mason's Scholarship.  $1000  Application in School Counseling Office or  here.

Tennessee Scholars Award Program:  Go to TN Scholars.org to print applications, community service log, and academic checklist.  Specific qualifications listed on the web site.  Student will be recognized by wearing a medal at graduation and some scholarship money is available at some colleges.  Deadline to give application to your counselor is February 28. Inquire at your college.  
SWE (Society of Women Engineers) Scholarship - Deadlines begin March 1, 2018  http://societyofwomenengineers.swe.org/scholarships.  Scholarships range from $1000-$15000 and some are renewable.  For women who are preparing for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science.  Link here.

TN Housing Association Stan and Thelma Plumlee Scholarship:  Must live in a manufactured or modular home OR have parents or close relatives that work in the manufactured or modular housing industry.  App must be received by March 9, 2018.  Application here.
Bootstraps Award Scholarship for student who students who have overcome obstacles - pulled themselves up by the bootstraps.  See your counselor by February 28 if you are interested in being the BHS nominee.   
Rotary Club of Hendersonville $1500-$3000, Due March 9.  Application  here .  
Community Foundatin of Middle Tennessee.  Application and Information at  https://www.cfmt.org/grants-scholarships/scholarships/  Many scholarships available.  Deadline to apply March 15, 2018.  
Skyline Auxillary, Inc. Scholarship Program for seniors who will be pursuing a college career in the medical field.  Deadline March 23.  Award $2000. Application here.

  TN Hope Lottery Scholarship:  3.0 GPA or 21 composite score on the ACT.  Application is the FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid (more details to come regarding FAFSA) – opens Oct 1.   www.fafsa.gov

QuestBridge International College Match: This program matches high achieving, low income students with full scholarships at prestigious universities.  Student should have primarily A’s and have a family income of less than $65,000 year.  See your counselor to be nominated. 
Nashville Area Panhellenic Alumnae Association:  Women's Scholarship for women enrolling in colleges with a fraternity/sorority system. Application at here at https://nashvillepanhellenic.org/scholarships/ .  Deadline March 16, 2018.  
Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest.  Local Deadline March 31.  Click here for details.  Open to grades 9-12.
Bootstrap Award - Scholarship awarded to student who has flourished despite circumstances .  Please see your counselor or Mrs. Dupree by Feb. 15 if you are interested in being the schools's nominee. 
Diabetes Scholars Foundation  Application open January - April 2018.  Link  here.  Student must be diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. 
Student Insights 2018 Student-View Scholarship Program.  Complete a short 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area.  Awards range from $4000 to $500.  Deadline is April 22, 2018.  Link to application here or at www.student-view.com.
